Acro (short for acrobatic dance) is a dance style that is featured on the show.
History
Although acrobatics has been performed for over 2000 years, acrobatic dance emerged about 100 years ago, in the U.S.A. and Canada.[2]
Acro combines technical dancing with acrobatics, and is characterized by athleticism.[3] It is incredibly challenging and requires a lot of strength, endurance and flexibility.[3]
The first known acro dancer to join A-Troupe is Giselle. Until Season 3, when she is accompanied by fellow acro dancer, Max, she is the sole acro dancer in A-Troupe. Both have since departed.
Currently, Amy, Skylar, and Richelle are the acro dancers in A-Troupe.
