Amanda lisa season 1

Amanda reveals that her team has already purchased plane tickets for Nationals.

Later, A-Troupe overhears Lisa interviewing Amanda, as Elite has won their semi-final round against Dance Inc. and will therefore be competing in the finals. Amanda admits that their team is so confident they will win that they have already purchased their plane tickets for Nationals. Later, The Next Step is practicing their routine when Elite walks through their formation; Amanda taunts the team about their costumes and make-up, then directly insults Emily, who is so hurt that she walks away and sits on her own. Riley urges Eldon to talk to her since she is his girlfriend, and eventually he does - though he reveals in Talking Heads that he genuinely forgot he was her boyfriend for a moment. Meanwhile, James makes jokes about the situation and his lack of maturity irritates Riley; James confesses that he is tired of her being so serious and that she needs to loosen up. Eldon advises Emily to ignore Amanda; Emily reveals that her sadness goes deeper than being hurt by her words, as Amanda reminds her of the way she used to be. Eldon dismisses her worries, and tells her that she is stronger than she is; newly comforted, Emily goes in for a kiss, but Eldon dodges the kiss and simply hugs her. Eldon confesses that he likes Michelle more than Emily, and he doesn't want to do anything that will make Emily believe he still likes her.

Riley james season 1 3

Riley chastises James for laughing.

Seeds Street Crew is performing their semi-finals routine, while The Next Step nervously waits to take the stage. Seeds scores 91 points, making this the first time that any team besides Elite has scored in the 90s. wWhile Emily and Michelle conduct a pep talk for The Next Step, James fools around again, and Riley chastises him. James confesses that he finds it annoying and feels like she doesn't understand him.

Finally, The Next Step goes on stage; they confess that they are excited, as they have never qualified to the semi-finals before. They begin their final performance of "Stutter", and execute the routine flawlessly. After they exit the stage, Riley pulls James aside and apologizes for being hard on him; James realizes that they are on the same level, and Riley was simply letting the stress get to her. James tells Riley that he doesn't worry in tense situations, and she has to accept that; Riley agrees, and says that equally, he has to accept that she does worry. The two hug, and Riley confesses that it is great to be dating someone who understands her. Just then, the studio is called back onstage; as they wait to hear their score, various dancers recount what they have learned in the lead-up to Regionals. Finally, the points are announced; The Next Step has scored 93 points, beating Seeds by two. As the team is celebrating, Emily witnesses Eldon lifting Michelle and spinning her around; she is worried about how friendly they are being with each other, but decides to ignore it.

Lucien lisa kate

Lucien assures Kate that it is obvious that his dancers are superior to hers.

Later, Lisa interviews Kate and Chris, and they both state their confidence that their team will defeat Elite in the finals. Following this, Lucien is interviewed; he discredits The Next Step by saying that his studio clearly has better dancers, and claims that things must be going badly for them, as Kate's mom quit as the owner. This angers Kate to the point that Chris has to carry her away, while yelling that The Next Step are "taking [Lucien] down".

The Next Step has gathered onstage, having been given time to discuss their finals routine and practice. Everyone is nervous, as they know they used their best routine first, and are now left with a decent routine that nevertheless needs a lot of work. Their anxiety worsens when Emily reveals that Elite has an airplane prop in their final performance. Chloe suggests that they focus on Michelle and Eldon's duet; Kate thinks this is a good idea, and decides to move Eldon and Michelle's duet to the beginning of their routine for more impact. Emily reveals that she is not oblivious to the fact that there is something going on between Michelle and Eldon, and is reluctant for their obvious feelings for each other to be displayed to their friends and family onstage. She asks Michelle and Eldon if they have enough chemistry for the duet, and they say that they do.
