Biography

Before the show

Luther became a choreographer and became acquainted with Kate.

Season 2

Upon an invitation from Kate, Luther arrives at The Next Step Dance Studio to help James, West, Eldon and Hunter with their small group routine for Nationals. He asks the boys to freestyle and, after seeing how antsy the boys are, holds a slow-motion contest in which the last person to reach the finish line — ballet barres with a long line of yellow CAUTION tape tied between them — wins. After West wins the race, Luther makes him the focal point of the routine and teaches the boys the choreography. After his tutelage, James confides in him about doing the B-Twist, whereupon Luther tells him to do it when it "speaks to him".[1]
